NRF has been conducting its annual Father’s Day survey with Prosper Insights & Analytics since 2003 to see how Americans celebrate “dad” on his special day.
Similar to 2023, three-quarters of consumers plan to celebrate Father’s Day this year. Half of consumers plan to purchase a gift for a father or stepfather, followed by those purchasing gifts for a husband (26%), son (10%), brother (8%), friend (8%) or grandfather (6%).
See insights into the trends from the NRF and Prosper Insights & Analytics annual Father’s Day survey, including how men approach the holiday versus women and the top gifting trends years as consumers show their appreciation for all of the dads and other father figures in their lives.
About the survey: The 2024 survey was fielded to 8,580 consumers aged 18+ from May 1 through May 8 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.1 percentage points.
